Now that your YouTube channel is up and running, let’s talk about search. Remember how we mentioned that YouTube is the second largest search engine? I don’t need to put my face on this thumbnail, but it helps my fans recognize me. And if people aren’t familiar with me, they’ll see the title of this video and wonder who the heck that guy is and may click and video and be introduced.
360 videos: The use of omnidirectional cameras got its start in 2014, but only recently have marketers begun to grasp the potential here. Still, case studies conducted by magnifyre and Google suggest that people engage more with 360-degree video as compared to standard video, so keep an eye on this trend to explode this year. It allows you to give your viewers a sense of immersive space, and the tech to create these videos gets cheaper by the day.
Article video marketing is a new type of internet marketing and advertising in which business create 2-5 minute short videos about specific topics using content from articles and other text sources. The videos are then uploaded to various video sharing websites like YouTube for distribution and exposure.
Aperture refers to the size of the opening in the lens. Like a human eye, a len opens and closes to control the amount of light reaching the sensor. Aperture is measured in what’s called an f-stop. The smaller the f-stop number, the more open the lens is, while a larger number means the lens is more closed.
I use my description as a transcript. But I also put links to my blog and social above the fold. So even if people don’t read the entire description, they still see links to read my blog or get in contact with my social:
You probably already thought about these keywords while making your video, but what you probably didn’t realize is that in addition to using the Google Keyword tool, you should also be looking at the YouTube Keyword Tool.

After you’ve determined the type of music you need, it’s time to start analyzing potential songs. Consider the song’s pacing. Songs with a steady rhythm are easy to change to suit your video style. Hoping to include your favorite, top 40 hit? Popular, radio songs are usually structured in 4-5 parts and can be difficult to transition. Try to choose simple songs that are easy to loop. If you’re looking for an instrumental song, be sure to find something that was recorded with real instruments. Songs made with digital samples can make your video feel unprofessional and out of date.
The web changes constantly and authors need to value the readers time and not try to create a literary master piece in a business how to book. I have little time to read junk and this book delivered so much fluff that finding the meat was too big a job. I can’t justify keeping it as I will never go back and try to find the small amount of useful information that may be in it.
Click-Through Rate: Click-through rate (CTR) is the number of times your CTA is clicked divided by the number of times it is viewed. CTR is a great indicator of how effective your video is at encouraging people to take your desired action. If your CTR is low, consider revising your call-to-action’s design or copy.

It’s easy and you don’t need any instructions from me. I’m going to use this first part of the guide to talk about why you need a great channel layout.

Your iPhone does a great job of finding the subject to focus on when you take photos. But when it comes to video, the camera will continue adjusting and readjusting as you move around the scene. To solve this problem, lock the exposure while you’re filming before you press record. Hold your finger down on the subject of the video until a yellow box appears with the words “AE/AF Lock.”

Every brand has a story, one that is inherently unique. Your narrative is a differentiator, and our animators, producers and videographers tell the story of your products, services and corporate identity.
Professional quality music and sound effects can often be the difference between a successful video and one that comes off as an amateur production. Fortunately, cinema quality sounds are now readily available, even if your videos don’t have Hollywood-size budgets. When selecting music for your video, it’s important to first consider the overall mood you’d like to create. Music is one of the most valuable tools for setting the tone of a video and often informs the editing style, camera movement, and on-camera action. If you’re introducing your brand to a new audience, you probably want to select music that is upbeat and energetic. The second key part to picking music is to make sure you have the necessary permissions to use the song. What you’re looking for here are songs marked as “royalty free.” This doesn’t mean the music will be free, but it does mean you only pay a flat rate to use the music and won’t have to pay additional royalties or licensing fees on top of that.
You guessed it right; the biggest influential factor that launched this form of marketing was YouTube. Of course, there were other websites that offer video upload and streaming features but they weren’t as strong as YouTube.
One question – There is one article I read about optimizing keywords for YouTube, they mentioned putting the main keyword first in the description. But you said I can give a crazy name and with a semicolon and then the main keyword.
Start by adding a channel icon and channel art. These will be the first things users see when visiting your YouTube account so be sure to use images that are easily recognizable and consistent with your overall branding.
To get started, visit YouTube.com. In the upper right-hand corner, you should notice that you’re probably already logged in. If this is not true, click on the blue “Sign in” button in the upper right-hand corner, and enter your Google account username and password.
Keywords are the other important thing. You need to make sure you put those keywords in your title so it attracts the right audience. Keywords like social media marketing, search engine optimization, conversion rate optimization, ROI, and blogging are all keywords you’ll find me using. If you know your niche, you’ll know what keywords you need to use.
While iPhones are great for filming on the fly or getting acclimated with video, at some point you may feel ready to graduate up to the next model. With all the digital cameras on the market, there are a ton of choices to pick from. Below we’ve identified a few options to simplify your search.
Also, don’t forget to include a link to your desired call to action as high up in the description. If you want people to share the video, use a service called ClicktoTweet.com. If you want people to opt into a mailing list, insert a link to the landing page you want them to go to. It’s as simple as that.
When you ask your friends which online video platform they use, the answer you probably receive is YouTube. For good reason too! YouTube is the largest video hosting platform, the second largest search platform after Google, and the third most visited website in the world. Every day people watch over 5 billion videos a day on YouTube. To top it off, it’s free to upload your videos to YouTube and optimize them for search.
You can also add text translations to the video. For businesses with international clients, like AdEspresso, this helps you provide content to all audience members. Just add which languages you want them to register as, and enter in the translations for the title and the description.
If you have experienced, confident actors in your company, you’re lucky. Video talent is a rare resource. But with a little bit of coaching (and a fair share of nervous laughter), you can help your teammates thrive in front of the camera.
While basic video marketing is still a strong campaign tool, there are some recent developments in the world of video content that you can employ to boost your efforts. For 2018, there are three things to focus on including in your video content strategy:
Video marketing is one of the most powerful marketing tools online right now, and it gets more popular every day. To boost your online campaign with the most effective ROI you can get with a marketing tool, video cannot be ignored.
Now, most YouTube users won’t be interacting…with your channel page until they subscribe.…They’ll do that by choosing the Subscribe option…here on your channel, or on an actual video page.…I’ll show you a video page by choosing…on this video here about a GoPro.…Here, we can also see the Subscribe button…just below our user name.…A user can also read information about this video.…Here’s another chance to add links back to your website,…as well as introduce content that has key words…
Video can do wonders to increase content engagement and clickthrough rates — but we know that actually making videos can be intimidating. Many marketers get paralyzed by the “no time, too hard” fallacy of creating video content.
Once your channel is setup, it’s time to start populating it with content. This is where the fun begins! In this section, we’ll talk about some different types of videos you can create and walk through how to film and edit videos. Overwhelmed? Feeling uninspired? Check out our list of great video advertising and marketing campaigns for creative ideas to inspire your next project .
Understand your audience’s needs better than anyone else, and play to them in your videos. In addition, don’t mistake “longer” for “better” — if your message can be expressed in just a few seconds, don’t drag out the length of your video unnecessarily.
In this style of video, a digital layer is added to what you are currently viewing in the world. For example: You can point your phone’s camera at your living room and see how a couch would look in the space.
Possibly the best way to improve the look of your video is to include b-roll. B-roll is the supplementary footage included as a cutaway. This might include shots of a customer service rep talking on a phone, a designer editing your website, visuals of your office, or even screenshots of your product. The key with b-roll is to make sure each and every piece helps to enhance the story.
For example, if you are shooting an interview or a how-to video, the subject’s eyes should align with the top horizontal line around one of the two intersections. For this “talking head” shot, you can also improve your composition by leaving enough (but not too much) head room. This is the empty space above the person’s head.
Start by creating a questionnaire to answer the most crucial unknowns. Build it in a survey tool such as Google Forms or SurveyMonkey and pass it along to the stakeholders of the project. No need for it to be long, but definitely don’t overlook these key questions:
Though Dollar Shave Club founder Michael Dubin told The New York Times he only spent $4,500 on the video, the fact that Dubin was both actor and producer (with the help of friends) made it possible for him to keep the budget down. I’d estimate that the video would have cost closer to $32,000 if you had properly paid everyone involved in making it, as you should. But even at that price, it would have returned an amazing ROI.
Plus, the money you’ll make as a result of these monetization options isn’t exactly going to be sending you into early retirement. You might make something like $1 per 1,000 views, and you can’t even get paid until you hit the $100 mark. For most businesses, this takes ages. Many find that it’s not worth the risk of losing viewers for pennies of potential profit.
With more than a billion active users, YouTube is not just the place for funny videos anymore. Video drives a 157% increase in organic traffic from search engines. YouTube is a serious marketing platform that provides your brand with the opportunity to promote content in a truly visual way.
There are some films that are simply beautiful. It’s not the story or even the picturesque setting. In fact, the scene might take place in the dingiest of sets, but somehow each shot just feels right.
